Holy Family Cathedral Young Adults
|
Welcome to Holy Family Cathedral’s Young Adults group! As a community of single and married Catholic adults in our 20s and 30s, our purpose is to enter more deeply into relationship with Christ Jesus, connect our faith to our daily lives, explore and learn Catholic teaching, and spend time with others who share our values, no matter where they may be on their faith journey. We rejoice in the many blessings of our parish and seek to freely share our gifts with joy and gratitude.
Our group revolves primarily around Christ in the City – we meet weekly on Fridays evenings for Eucharistic adoration and a time of teaching, engaging in Catholic tradition (such as praying the Rosary), meditating on Sacred Scripture, or an extended silent adoration. Afterward, we often go out for occasional dinners, happy hours, or some other social activity. Throughout the year, we also plan and host a variety of other events, activities, and service projects.
To stay informed about what’s coming up, make sure you subscribe to our e-mail list by contacting us at hfcyoungadults@gmail.com and check our online calendar. Also look for our group on Facebook: HFCYoungAdults.

We dedicate this vision and pastoral plan to Catholic young adults--men and women in their late teens, twenties and thirties. We do so because we realize the tremendous gifts which they bring to church life. As single people or married couples, with or without children, their presence enriches our society and our Church. We hope this plan will be an effective tool to connect young adults with Jesus Christ and his challenge to bring the Gospel -- with its message of hope -- to society.
In meeting you, the young adult members of the Church, we are more aware of your capability to love and serve. We invite you to continue to give of yourself, your time, your energies, and your talents for the good of others. We will be praying that the Holy Spirit guide you and the church as together we grow in the love of Jesus Christ. We promise to walk with you and with all people who love life. In doing this, you will be sons and daughters of the light—a light of hope for the Church, for our country, and for all humanity!
