HOLY MATRIMONY  

Marriage signifies the union of Christ and his Church. Since it is a creation of God, it is endowed with special graces to enable a man and woman to love each other with the same self-sacrificing love with which Christ loved his bride the Church. This grace enables them to perfect and sanctify their love and maintain its indissoluble. People marry to help each other get to heaven and to impart their faith to their children.
